The Balance

I can't remember a time when I haven't been involved in the public. Throughout my triumphs and my defeats I continue to delve into the world around me. I immerse myself entirely in what I do. I don't give up. Sometimes though, I have to let you know, that the private life clashes with the public life. When it does you had better be prepared for the storm that is coming. Sun Tzu described in The Art of War;

"All warfare is based on deception. Hence, when we are able to attack, we must seem unable; when using our forces, we must appear inactive; when we are near, we must make the enemy believe we are far away; when far away, we must make him believe we are near."

I like to think that in times of peace, you prepare for the battle.

So when the two worlds collide it may seem like the end, because you are in the public eye, people are watching you. But, yes at the same time you have remain resilient.

Another story that comes to mind is the story of Samson and Delilah. Samson was a biblical man with long flowing hair that gave him strength. He met a woman named Delilah. One day, while Samson was sleeping, Delilah allowed his enemies to come and shave his hair. They then imprisoned him and later killed him.

Samson had let his guard down, and his strength was stolen from him.

It is what you choose now to remain strong. In the public eye and private life.

You Don't Even Know Bro

I have been seeing a lot of ignorance in the world lately… there has been a steady decline in respect for your fellow peers… for instance these buses that come in and out of the school… Back packs are made out of a washable material… you can take that off and put it down… or hold it… and how about these people that sit there with their bags on the seat beside them?... Look at it… it must have some feelings or thoughts because it’s chillin there… you don’t even know bro… that’s something that i can’t stand…

you bro, you don’t even know… but being a broadcast student and someone who has been doing this for a while you get acustomed to moving quickly… i can make decent time walking through the school… however when there is a two-way door and people decide to walk through with their whole group in-line I have to stop for this large swarm of mouth breathers… and they cut you off… and sometimes just stop dead in the middle of traffic… come on now… you guys don’t drive like this do you?... well maybe you do… I don’t but that’s another story… Like today spot me and the General getting run down by a car near the oshawa center… im here in a red wings away jersey… middle of the intersection… next thing i know i could have died… You don’t even know bro… ignorance is everywhere…

Changes

As with every aspect of life, this blog is subject to changes and revisions. As I said before I would be doing a weekly review of some of the DC comics I am reading, however I would also like to use this blog as a vehicle to promote my show on www.riotradio.ca. I will post my thought process for the show as I build each live show from Thursdays until Wednesdays, which will culminate in a live 1 hour show on Wednesday nights at 10. The first show is kind of up in the air right now... Thinking of a theme, right now I'm thinking a dedication to my ex lovers. You don't even know bro.

The Weekly Review. Will showcase which stories I have been reading from DC Comics the New 52. Each week will get a different issue and sometimes I may mix things up and throw in some Marvel.
